Martin has over 35 years expertise & leadership in Travel Distribution and is the Principal consultant at MW Travel Consultancy Ltd, where he provides advisory services and solutions to opportunities to the travel and associated industries. He is primarily focused on providing strategic solutions in the rapidly evolving Distribution Strategy area, IATA’s NDC implications and New Payments initiatives in travel with recent engagements including GDS, Airlines, Alliances, TMC’s and Payments.
Formerly Executive Vice President, Market Strategy & Segmentation at Carlson Wagonlit Travel - a global leader specialising in business travel management - Martin was responsible for devising and implementing the Marketing & Commercial Strategy and focused on creating value-based travel management solutions for corporate customers, whilst improving ROI both for customers and CWT.
He has also served in non-Executive board positions in the companies Jt-Ventures in China, Japan, India, Indonesia & South Africa, and Executive board member of subsidiaries in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong. In addition to his strategic advisory work, he is a much sought-after facilitator, moderator and speaker.
